you’ve been doing it, special processes you employ, etc.     

Please attach 4-6 images of your work (with prices) or make arrangements to drop off a few examples of your work for
jurying.  

A co-operative Gallery, by its nature is run by volunteers and/or its participating artists.  Are you able to help with the

Co-op benefits:
1.         Be a part of a community of artists interested in promoting local art, discussion/collaborating and supporting each
other.

5.        Visa/MasterCard option with Co-op paying all fees

Consignment Terms:
1.        Payments to the artists will be made by the 10th of the month for the prior month’s sales.  
2.        The consignment period is 60 days.  Items picked up before the consignment period ends will be subject to an early
termination fee of 25% of the consignment value.
3.        The member is solely responsible for all risk of loss or damage to their property while on the Co-Op premises,
including but not limited to loss due to fire, theft, vandalism, or casualty.  
4.        Light N Up has the final decision in determining what pieces of art are displayed in the gallery, including individual
pieces brought in by any member.  The gallery reserves the right to request an artist rotate their inventory from the
display floor.
5.        There is no assigned space in the Light N Up gallery, and as such, work is regularly shifted around the store to
create a fresh look. Light N Up retains the right to display all work in the manner that best serves the store.  
6.        The artist is responsible for the delivery, pricing, inventorying and removal of their artwork.
7.        All framed paintings, photography and other art to be hung on the wall must have a wire hanger for ease of display.  
Jewelry artists and others with special display requirements should provide their own display materials and props.

Membership Obligations:
1.        Pay a monthly membership fee of $30 which is due by the 1st day of the month.   Payments not received by the 15th
could result in termination of the artist’s membership.
2.        Revenue from sales of an artist’s work will be shared with 30% going to Light N Up and 70% going to the artist.    
3.        Work a minimum of one shift weekend per month.  Other duties such as housekeeping and cleaning can be done to
fulfill the work requirement by special arrangement with the Director.   
4.        Light N Up will evaluate our operations and finances on a quarterly basis and make changes to membership
requirements as deemed necessary to maintain the health of the co-op.   

Other Membership Requirements:
1.        Both Light N Up and member artists can terminate the membership agreement for any reason with a 30-day written
notice.
2.        Members are to attend quarterly co-op meetings to discuss co-op operations.
3.        Members will promote all artists’ work within the gallery.
4.        Members are requested to help recruit potential new artists to the co-op.   

Eligibility:
1.        Local artists will be given first option for open spaces.   Artists outside the local area will be considered as space
allows.
2.        Evaluation may be on the following: quality of work/craftsmanship, originality, design, professional presentation,
salability, uniqueness in comparison to work currently represented in the co-op, potential, quantity, inspirational etc.  
Artists must be the sole originator of their work.
3.        New members are juried in by the Light N Up Jury Committee and the committee will utilize discretion in selection
of works to be displayed.   
4.        There is a 60 day probationary period in which the artist must complete 10 hours of training to work in shop.
